Fees

Pair of French walnut armoires, late 19th Century, each having an arched top with burr walnut inset panel over two arched recessed double panel doors, opening to a brass hanging rail, all raised on bun feet, width 132cm, height 188cm, depth 52cm

More Information

The doors are walnut veneer on oak, the back and sides are walnut veneer on pine. They come apart into flat pack. See images of the interiors. There are no keys, so whilst they have lock plates and locking bars they currently do not work, the doors merely pressing into place with a catch. There is some evidence of woodworm, particularly around the feet (see images). Minor knocks and scrapes. Overall they are of good colour and patina but have seen use.
