Three Victorian dated and named jugs, comprising 'J Deeming, 1839', 'William and Anne Essay, 1848' and 'James Borne, 1859', each decorated with floral sprays and gilt details, the tallest 18cm; also two further Victorian floral and gilt decorated jugs, one marked with initials 'W D', 14cm, the other simply decorated with flowers and gilt, 17cm (5)

In the order as catalogued:

1839 Jug - slight wear to the gilt line on the tip of the spout, slight yellowing to the body. No further damage found.

1848 Jug - slight wear to the gilt line on the edge of the spout. Hair crack on the body visible from the inside, approximately 4cm, barely visible from the outside. The odd small scratch and rubbing of the painting at the extremities. No further damage detected.

1859 Jug - wear to the gilt line at the rim. Discolouration in areas. Some loss of gilt detail to the body. Discolouration and spitbeck on the extremities of the handle. Wear to the gilt line around the base and a small hair crack to the spout, approximately 1cm.

Initial Jug - lovely condition with no faults found.

The blue baluster jug - slight wear to the gilt line at the rim, slight wear to gilt details on the baluster. The odd minor tiny scratch, again on the baluster. No further damage detected.
