Pair of George III silver wick scissors, maker probably William Bateman, London 1805, 17.5cm, weight approx. 105g (3.38 troy ozs)

There is no functioning spring in the pivot on the handles. Hallmarks are clear within the snuffer. The blade closes crisply. The nose of the snuffer has a slightly upturned appearance. The feet are original. On the back of the snuffer is an engraved monogram. No further damage detected
