Yoruba (Nigeria) wooden iroke ifa (divination tapper), circa 1920 or earlier, carved as a figure standing with eyes closed (hands now deficient), legs astride, on a cone shaped staff, good mid-brown patination, 24cm

The figure's hands are missing and there is a small chip to the band around his waist. There is a split within the wood on one of the legs. There are small losses to one of the ears and to the tip of the nose.
Provence: entered from a private collection in West Wales.
