Fine Waring & Gillow Ltd mahogany breakfront library bookcase, in Chippendale Revival style, the centre with a domed dentil cornice and acanthus and foliate carved detail frieze, over four astragal glazed doors opening to adjustable shelves, the base centred with a long frieze drawer with carved foliate detailing, over two moulded panel cupboard doors with quarter veneers opening to a single shelf, flanked on either side with a further short drawer and conforming cupboard door, gadrooned carved apron beneath, raised on waisted ogee bracket feet, all drawers mahogany lined, stamped 'Waring & Gillow Ltd' and numbered 'L66990', the locks stamped 'Gillows Lancaster' width 231cm, height 218cm, depth 44cm

The cornice has the odd small piece of moulding missing, see images. There is wear around the keyholes. The hole has a very good colour. Some usual knocks around the feet consistent with normal use wear and tear. The drawers do have some elements of cock beading missing. This piece has one key.

Overall a fine looking piece of good proportions and colour.
