Chinese scholar's famille rose box and cover, early 19th Century, rectangular form, the lid decorated with figures in a pavilion, within a gilt keyed border, the base decorated with bats, butterflies and birds in colours, 19cm x 9.5cm x 6.5cm high

Condition generally is very good. The cover has slight wear to the gilt keyed decoration on the edge and very slight wear to some of the finer details on the enamelling. Two minute chips; one on the underside edge of the cover, the other on the inside edge of the base. No further damage detected.
