Pair of French porcelain figures, modelled as a gallant and his companion, glazed in colours over a gilded canted square base, marked with an underglazed blue 'R', height 24.5cm

The male figure has a restored left hand, restored edges to the tricorn hat. Restoration at the neck suggesting that the head has been off. Further restoration through the legs and trunk above the base. This is professional restoration of a high standard, much of which can only be noted using a 10x loop. Some wear to the gilt around the base.

The female figure has restoration to the right forearm and hand. There is restoration around the brim of the hat and at the neck, through the middle the edge of the cape and into the arms. Again, the restoration is of high quality. There is wear to the gilt around the base.
