Rare Rolex Oyster 'Viceroy' Imperial chronometer stainless steel wristwatch, circa 1930s, with Dobbies Limited, Nairobi inscribed dial in a warm yellow aged hue, with subsidiary seconds and Arabic numerals, model reference '3116', signed 18 jewel movement, manual wind, signed 'Rolex Chronometer', timed to six positions, in a polished stainless steel tonneau case, original Oyster patent crown winder, the back plate numbered '148***', case width 29mm, on a later Fixo-flex stainless steel expandable bracelet, original Dobbies Limited, Nairobi watch case, with Rolex Chronometer certificate

The dial appears discoloured to amber yellow. Disruption to the R of Imperial and very slight losses to the type print, visible through a 10x loupe on the numerals. Discolouration to the minutes chapter. Some rust spots to the hands. Minor surface scratches to the case, consistent with normal use, age, wear and tear. The watch is currently working but please note our special conditions. The bracelet is in good condition. The box shows minor signs of wear. Hand finished certificate is in good order.
