Victorian mahogany hall bench, circa 1870, the back centred with a shield and with a solid seat, raised on carved and tapered hexagonal supports, width 152cm, depth 49cm, height 93cm

More Information

Originally the bench would have had a finial at the centre of the back which is now missing. The back is a little loose but the base of the bench is good and solid. There is a split visible to the seat which is approx. 30cm long but is narrow. Overall the bench has good colour and good signs of age and nice patination. Minor knocks and scrapes consistent with normal use and age. No further damage detected.
