Good late Regency rosewood teapoy, circa 1815-25, the sarcophagus top with beaded edge and twin brass ring handles, opening to four hinged top caddies and two wells for mixing bowls, raised on a tapered square section column with beaded outlines, all supported on four reeded sabre legs with brass toes and castors, width at the top 40cm, height 80cm

Small losses to the beading on the extreme edge of the top. Small section of beading is replaced at the back of the teapoy (see image), this is on the lower edge. There are other small corner losses (see images). There is a key. Inside there are four caddies with traces of zinc lining. Small old splits to the veneers around the base and some restoration to the veneers around the same. Bracket repairs to the underside and replaced joints (see images). All the brass paw feet appear to be original. No sign of worm.
