More Information

Condition: One of the chairs has a section of wood missing from the base of the back (see image). Here there is a repair and two metal braces on the inside supporting the leg. The opposing leg also has damage, with a large loss at the top of the leg. The back of this chair is loose. On the underside there is evidence of woodworm to the frame. Knocks and scrapes consistent with age. The other chair has some old repairs to the tops of the back legs. This is an altogether more sturdy chair. Knocks and scrapes consistent with age, particularly around the feet and on the seat. On this chair there are two chips to the painted crest at the back (see image).
