Hammer
£680
Victorian pitch pine dresser, late 19th Century, fitted with two central short drawers and two long deep drawers, flanked by two raised panel cupboard doors opening to a single shelf, all raised on a plinth base, width 234cm, depth 60cm, height 89cm
More Information
One end of the dresser has been reduced and adapted to fit, losing its raised panels and moulded edge (see image). The two plank top has a gap of approximately 8mm and the front plank is slightly warped, i.e. raised at the back edge.
The turned wooden knobs to the central drawers are replacements. There is some lovely aged scratches and an all over rich patina.
Mop water damage round the base. One brass escutcheon is missing from the lower central drawer.
Overall a good dresser base, nicely coloured and of good size.
