Star sapphire and diamond cluster ring, in 18ct white gold, the cabochon sapphire of approx. 0.3ct, flanked on either side with two small round cut brilliant diamonds, size K/L, gross weight approx. 3.8g

There has been debate amongst colleagues over the colour of the stone, some favouring grey and others a grey-lilac or lavender. The ring appears to be modern. The cabochon has a carbon inclusion near to one of the claws. One of the diamonds has a minute pinprick chip to the edge of the table, the other appear to be OK. All mounts are good. The ring has fine surface scratches consistent with normal use and age.
