Three silver vesta cases, comprising one of cushion form with scroll engraved decoration and vacant cartouche, Birmingham 1893, 6cm, a rectangular example worked with the figure of a mermaid, marked '925', 6cm, the last being smaller and with engine turned decoration, Chester 1900, 4.5cm

In the order as catalogued.

Cushion form - abrasive marks throughout giving the piece a matt appearance. Hinge works well, closes crisply. Very slight compression at the join of the cover.

Mermaid case - denting throughout. No spring to the cover. Closes adequately. Not great quality.

Smallest case - wear to the engine turning. Light dents, pinprick dents. Good spring to the cover, closes neatly with a very slight gap at the end of approximately 1mm.
