The top of the chest has a split to the veneers running left to right. The veneers have dried out somewhat and have a dull appearance. On the front there are no ring handles present, only the back plates, some of which have slight damage. There is no key to this chest. On the canted corners there are mouldings missing. There are knocks and scrapes around the legs. On the right hand side panel there is a vertical split and also a split on the other side but not as noticeable.
