Diamond and ruby cluster ring, 18ct gold, Chester 1885, set with five old brilliant cut diamonds, totalling approx. 0.5ct dispersed with five similar sized round cut rubies, size O/P, gross weight approx. 3.6g

More Information

The length of the gem set head is 15mm and the width is 7mm. The diamonds have inclusions but appear white to grey for the most included stone. One of the diamonds has an ugly fissure which can be felt with a finger nail and this is perhaps the greyest diamond. One of the rubies is chipped at the edge. Some of the claws are a little worn and the gold band is thinning to the point of wearing the hallmark.
