Fees

George IV rosewood and scagliola marble topped pedestal table, circa 1825, the marble top with a moulded edge over a reeded and acanthus carved baluster column and triform base with acanthus feet, 51.5cm diameter, height 57.5cm

More Information

This piece is probably a composite. The marble has some cracks to the edges (see images). The moulding around the top is in mahogany. The underside disc of the top has either been taken from a tilt-top table or this was originally itself a tilt-top.
The base, which is rosewood, is faded slightly. There are knocks and scrapes and general wear and tear around the feet with some water splashes.
It would generally benefit from re-polishing.
