Victorian Gothic Revival mahogany postbox, tapered octagonal form with brass slot in the top and labelled in brass 'Noon, Letters', height 46cm

The box's lock is broken, there is no key. The top has scuff marks consistent with cleaning or restoration attempt. There is some wear to the brass slot.

Inside the hinge is good. The four wooden pins that secure the hinged cover in place are now missing. There is a new support bracket just below the hinge on the inside.

Two brass plates on the front, one inscribed 'noon'; the other 'letters'; all with brass screws.

Around the base there are slithers of wood loss at the extremities. Signs of general wear and tear.
