Unusual black opal and diamond cluster ring, circa 1987, the oval opal predominantly intense blue in colour, approx. 15mm x 8mm, set within a coral style mount dispersed with small round brilliant cut diamonds, openwork shoulders, marked '750', size I, gross weight approx. 9.2g

The depth of the opal we would estimate between 2 and 3 mm. There are no secondary hues. We can see no damage to the opal itself. The diamonds are bright and white.

Please note the ring is also marked 'JLA'.
