Chinese carved wooden figure of Buddha, 18th or 19th Century, carved seated dhyanasana, with traces of painted decoration, height 16cm; also a pair of Chinese pink enamelled dishes, detailed with foliate roundels in colours and blue Shou characters, Zhuanshu Qianlong mark in blue, 19cm diameter (3)

The buddha has wear to all the details particularly around the face, loss of paint throughout with only traces remaining. Old woodworm flight holes evident at the front. Small losses and splits at the base.

Of the plates one has a rim bruise at the back with emanating hair cracks resulting in a loss of enamel and a small loss of enamel to the front. The other is more badly damaged with underside rim bruises resulting in a loss of enamel to the front edge with associated hair cracks throughout. A further small slither loss through the shou character and a further small loss at the rim. On the underside there are larger losses of enamel and bends.
