There is a small loss to the tortoiseshell on the front left corner of the lid. The zinc lining is all but degraded. The lock is present but there is no key. Around the base three corners have a loss of tortoiseshell; two on the back and one on the front. There are slither losses of tortoiseshell to the edges on the underside of the base. There is a chip and a split to one of the bone feet. There are some glue residues around one of the hinges.
