Late George III mahogany chest of drawers, circa 1810-20, fitted with three small frieze drawers with brass knobs, over two short and three long graduating drawers within ogee moulded pilasters and with brass swan neck handles and bone escutcheons, raised on ogee bracket feet, width 139cm, depth 55cm, height 124cm
More Information
There is a rubbing mark on the top front edge. Some fine surface scratches. Minor knocks to the edges at the front. Minor knocks around the feet consistent with normal use and age. Some of the locks have been replaced by blocks of wood. There are no keys present. All the handles appear to be original. There is a section of cockbeading missing on the left hand side of the middle long drawer. Overall the piece is of good colour and patina but would benefit from some minor restorations.
