Victorian sapphire and pearl brooch, the cushion cut sapphire certified as natural, estimated to weigh approx. 6.85cts, bordered with 17 small pearls, all set within unmarked yellow gold, 18mm x 15mm, with safety chain, gross weight approx. 6.37g, with Birmingham Assay Office gemmological report no. 20069693

Condition: There are small chips when viewed through a 10x loupe around the table and elsewhere there are tiny chips and abrasions. The girdle of the stone is hidden beneath the mount. The stone would benefit from re-polishing. The mounts to the stone are appearing a little thin. The pearls appear to be in good order relative to their age. The piece is unmarked.
