J Simcock, Nantwich, oak and mahogany eight day longcase clock, circa 1835, the hood with swan neck pediment centred with a ball finial over cluster columns flanking a 14 inch arched dial with moon phase, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dial, the movement striking on a bell, the trunk with further cluster columns flanking a crossbanded door, raised on a canted box base with raised panel and a plinth base, height 232cm
