George III mahogany and inlaid kneehole desk, circa 1800 and later, the top with satinwood and harewood spider web inlay, within boxwood tramlines, over a long drawer and three short drawers on either side of a recessed cupboard door further inlaid with tramlines and later brass handles and escutcheons, all raised on bracket feet, width 81cm, depth 40cm, height 75.5cm

Some water damage to the surface on the top and small splits to the left hand side and similar on the right hand side (see images). There is replaced cock beading on some of the drawers. Slither losses to the edge of other drawers and slither losses around the lock housing. Replaced veneers on the front between drawers. All handles and escutcheons are replacements. Knocks and scrapes around the base and it is likely that the bracket feet are replacements. There is a slither loss to the back edge of the carcass just above the bracket feet.
