Mahogany eight day longcase clock, by Wardlan, Liverpool, early 19th Century, the hood with faux verre eglomise panels painted with foliate details and a cottage, over double turned columns flanking a 14'' painted arched dial with moon phase and central calendar, the movement striking on a bell, with pendulum and two weights, the trunk with boxwood and ebony line inlays, over a canted box base with bracket feet, height 233cm

The case has some poor restorations and running repairs to the veneers particularly around the hood. There are splits to the trunk, particularly on the right hand side (see images). The hood has a split to the left hand side. The clock has two weights and a pendulum but no gut for the chiming mechanism. The dial is generally in good condition but for the rolling moon which has paint flaking. The clock is currently not working.
