George III mahogany secretaire a abbatant, circa 1780-1800, having two upper recessed panel cupboard doors with boxwood, ebony and satinwood tramline inlays, over a plain mahogany fall front, crossbanded and opening to a satinwood faced interior with pigeonholes and drawers, fitted with two long drawers at the base, all raised on splayed bracket feet, width 97cm, depth 48cm, height 169cm

Condition: The two upper doors now have a key. The colour is rich throughout. There are aged veneer cracks to the fall front. Spotting from keys on the two upper doors. Old scratches. Some restoration has been done at the bottom of the feet and at the corners of the upper doors. Some old woodworm flight holes in the back boards. Old scratches on the left hand side as well as two filled holes. There is one key which fits the fall front and the two lower drawers.
