Carved amethyst cameo brooch, worked as the head of Venus, in an unmarked yellow metal mount with safety chain, 30mm x 25mm; also a carved malachite cameo brooch carved as Innocence, in an unmarked gilt frame, with safety chain, 38mm x 30mm (2)

Amethyst: carving is good with no damage found. There is a small section of rope beading running around the frame which is missing, revealing a hole in the side of the frame. There is a small area of damage to the inside of the frame at the top of the cameo. Gross weight is 9.5g with safety chain.
Malachite: Tiny chip to the nose and a crack running from the head to the edge of the frame. The side of the frame also has a small hole. Gross weight 14.4g with safety chain.
In both brooches the gold is unmarked and has not been tested.
