Fees

Mahogany kneehole secretaire desk, early 19th Century, having a feathered mahogany pull down upper drawer opening to pigeonholes, and a gilt tooled green leather writing surface, raised on pedestals fitted with two short drawers, one deep drawer with a faux two drawer front, and a faux two drawer fronted cupboard door, all raised on splayed bracket feet, width 123cm, depth 58cm, height 90cm

More Information

There is some rippling to the top and some horizontal cracks to the veneers. There is a vertical crack to the righthand panel.

The front, which is of a lovely colour, has slight bowing to the upper drawer. The drawer, whilst having pigeon holes is missing its central cupboard and has been re-leathered. The ring handles are all later replacements. Please note that on the right the lower two drawers are false and this is a single cupboard door.

Some knocks and small losses to veneers around the feet.

Overall nice colour with good polish.
