In our opinion the central opal has been either re-polished or replaced. All the opals are natural and solid. The outer opals are abraded on the upper surface, the middle one is not. The middle stone lacks a little colour compared to the outer two (see images). The ring probably dates from the latter half of the 20th Century. Overall the ring and mounts are good. Marks are clear.
