More Information

Condition: The cupboard has had a number of restorations over the years. The top is later. The bottom portion of the front feet, together with the lower rail between the feet, we believe to be later. The majority of the cabinet is of considerable age including some wonderful rough hewn backboards. There is a tiny amount of old woodworm damage visible. This is minimal. There is some in the rear base rail of the interior. There are pegs to the interior. The carpenter’s initials are branded on the inside of the door. The cupboard generally is rather dry looking and lacking any particular patina. The door hinges appear to be 17th Century.
