George III satinwood and inlaid tea caddy, circa 1800, oval form inlaid with a floral bouquet in boxwood and harewood within chequerboard tesserae lines, 15cm x 11cm

The interior is devoid of lining. The escutcheon is missing. The lock is present but there is no key. There are losses to the tessarae around the base and probably at the back of the base. This tessarae has been replaced by stringing (see photographs). An element of the base is missing and there are also splits to the base.
