Oak joined box settle, 19th Century, guilloche carved four panel back with a frieze carved with initials and a spurious date, over a seat with lift up plank lid, open arms and recessed panel front, width 126cm, height 95cm, depth 67cm

This is a made up settle using parts from coffers, probably made in the late 19th Century. The colour throughout is good with patination to the forearms and the front edge of the seat. There is a small split at the back edge of the seat, being the foot of the back panel. Some splits to the left arm, not too detrimental. No further problems found.
