Japanese Imari floor vase, 19th Century, ribbed inverted baluster form with large domed cover surmounted with a shi-shi dog, decorated throughout with Imari colours of underglaze blue, terracotta and gilt enamels, height 78cm

Small chip to the heel of the shi-shi dog finial. Small inner rim bruise to the neck of the base. The piece appears dull through smoke staining, which can easily be washed off. No further damage detected.
