Tortoiseshell and silver calling card case, rectangular form inlaid with a vacant shield cartouche, opening to original blue watered silk and paper divisions, 10.5cm x 7.5cm

The silver cartouche is raising slightly, but other than this the case is in good condition but for the odd small spots of touching up to the corners, visible through a 10x loupe. This is very well done and very well disguised. The case was bought from the antiques trade some years ago. Condition of the tortoiseshell is very good and condition inside is original. The case closes crisply.
