Late Regency rosewood repeating bracket clock, by Joseph Johnson of Liverpool, circa 1825-35, the Gothic arched case surmounted with a brass finial, inlaid with panels of brass foliage flanking an 8'' painted and signed dial with Roman numerals, eight day double fusee movement striking and repeating on a bell, with brass sound grilles on the side panels beneath brass ring handles, the whole raised on reeded bun feet, height 60cm

The clock is in a fully restored condition. The work has been professionally executed. The dial has been repainted and is beautifully executed. The brass fretwork on the face has suffered some small losses, see images.

On the side of the case there is a replaced section of veneer and on the opposing side a horizontal split to the veneer on the lancet hood. A small loss to the egg and dart moulding around the base.

The clock has its pendulum and brass key. The clock seems to be working well, see special conditions regarding clocks and watches. The repeat mechanism works.
